DESCRIPTION.

Shortly after take-off from Skopje Airport, for a flight to Zurich, the aircraft banked sharply right, left and right with a maximum bank angle of 90 degrees. The right wingtip struck the ground causing the wing to seperate from the aircraft. Investigation revealed that the aircraft lost roll controllability due to contaminated wings with ice.

DESCRIPTION

After take off a uncommanded number 2 thrust reverser deployment caused control problems of the aircraft. The aircraft crashed into a residential area killing another 8 people.

DESCRIPTION

Shortly after take off an explosion in the rear cabin took out a 10 by 5 foot section out of the rear right fuselage. One passenger died as a result of either the explosion or the 7900 feet fall. The explosion was of undetermined origin.

DESCRIPTION

The aircraft diverted from Tehran to Isfahan. For unknown reasons the aircraft landed in a dry river at a distance of 6.5 miles from the airport. The aircraft was heavily damaged returned to Tehran. Flight West airlines of Australia bought the aircraft for spares.

DESCRIPTION

AA 1107 was cleared for a visual approach to runway 17C. Both flight crew members confirmed that the approach was flown visually, backed up with localizer and PAPI. They stated that the approach was stable and touch down normal. Upon initial touch down a loud bang was heard and the right wing went down. The pilots were able to maintain control of the aircraft with the rudder and stopped the airplane on the runway after 4300 ft. Initial examination revealed that the lower portion of the RH main gear assy seperated from the airplane. The inner piston was found with the torque links and wheels attached to it. The front spar of the right wing was damaged between station 12.375 and 13.550. The aircraft with nose number 2AW is currently used for spare parts.

DESCRIPTION

During a charterflight from Recife to Campinas a part seperated from the engine causing 3 cabin windows to fail. A emergency descent into Confins was initiated due to cabin depressurization. At the time of the incident the woman on seat 19E lost her life.

DESCRIPTION

On the flight from Sao Paulo to Campo Grande, the aircraft crashed in a farm field. It appears that there has been a major fuel leak. None of the passengers and crew aboard were seriously injured. The only victim was a cow that was run-over.

DESCRIPTION

On the flight from Salvador to Sao Paulo, the aircraft made an emergency landing at Viracopos airport. The landing was carried out due to landing gear problems. This caused the aircraft to "belly-in" on the runway.

DESCRIPTION

Iran Air flight to Shiraz departed in heavy snowfall conditions. The aircaft skidded of the runway, gears collapsed and a fire broke out at the LH wing. Passengers and crew escaped to safety. It remains unclear for the moment if the take off was aborted.
